We made it home alive from our cruise and it was so much fun! I think it was probably the best $600 we've spent in a long long time!
We boarded the boat Thursday around lunchtime, just in time for the buffet. I can't list all of the food, but there was a pretty good selection and it was all Carribean themed. There was a waiter walking around with this cute Jamaican accent passing out fruity drinks. I'm not exactly sure what it was, but it was yummy! We put our bags in our cabin and were pleasantly surprised with a window view! We didn't specifically request a room with a view, but they upgraded us anyway. It was nice, because the rooms are so dark so we were able to tell when morning was, since the rooms don't have (alarm) clocks.
Thursday afternoon we went to the top deck for the sailing party. That was fun, the breeze was really nice so it didn't feel hot at all. Most of Thursday afternoon we spent laying around by the pool, in the sun. We chose the early dinner seating so we would 1. Have time and energy to go out in the evening and 2. Have an appetite for the midnight buffett! Dinner the first night (and every night) was wonderful. They gave us a choice of about 5 different appetizers, including tropical fruits, soups, seafood, vegetarian, etc... Chris and I both chose a different appetizer, both were great. Then we pick from 2 salads and the main course, which was about 6 different choices. We had lobster tails for dinner. We of course ordered seconds and thirds, and tried all kinds of different things on the menu--most of which we would never actually pay for at a restaurant, in case we didn't like it. The desserts were all pretty elaborate as well. We were seated with 3 other fun couples at our table, which was nice...they were pretty much all our age range. One couple was from Tennessee, one from Wisconsin and the other from Arizona.
Thursday night we hung out around the ship doing shows, etc... Friday morning we arrived in Nassau. The weather was beautiful, so after doing some local touristy things we went to Paradise Island/Atlantis for some beach activities. Atlantis was beautiful and I would love to stay there. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't go to the Bahamas again. It was nice to see, but that's about it. Oh--and I was FORCED to sing karaoke at Senor Frog's. :-) Friday's dinner was the same--between us and our new friends Carmen and Brent, we ate probably 6 dozen plates of escargot. Did I mention how great the food was?
Friday night we went out with Brent & Carmen to the clubs. We watched the newlywed-or not so newlywed game. That was hysterical! Then we played bingo and went to the clubs. In the midst of things we hit the midnight buffet which was Mexican themed and danced till the early morning hours on the pool (lido) deck.
Saturday was our "fun day at sea" where we sailed all day. We layed in the sun and relaxed for the majority of the day, went to dinner then met up with Carmen & Brent again and went to more shows (and of course ate again).
I can't begin to describe the food---breakfast buffet or sit down, 24 hour deli/pizzaria, lunch buffet, poolside grill with chicken, hamburgers & hotdogs, dinner buffet, sit down (semi-formal) dinner, 24 hour ice cream bar, midnight buffet, sushi bar, bistro....all included!
I have downloaded our pictures on our home computer, so I'll try to post some when I get a chance--if I can figure out how to do it! If not--they'll be on the family website.

I have GOT to go on one of these cruises. Now that I have more vacation time, I do plan on coming to FL later in the year. Perhaps for hurricane season.
