We went to Buccanneer Bay at Weeki Wachee on Saturday for our agency picnic. The boys always have a lot of fun there, but it's getting a little harder now because Tyler is big enough to go on the waterslides, but Austin still has to stay in the kiddie pool area. He really wants to do what Tyler does, but he has fun in the kiddie area. I'm such a mom...I like the kiddie pool area better than the beach now too. I get sick of sand in everything when we go to the beach. Mix sand in with a little sweat and sunscreen and it's a disaster! So instead, I will go to the kiddie pool where it's chlorinated and has lounge chairs set up on a patio. Yes, I'm getting old. Austin and I did go in the springs to swim. It's very cold, 72 degrees year round, but he doesn't mind. It was refreshing though because it was 90 degrees and humid outside.
Saturday night we went over to Melissa and Rob's house. That is always a good time. It works out so well because we can let the boys play with her son Robby and our Melissa came so she was able to hang out with Melissa and Rob's daughter Kendra. Our friends Jody and Rod, and their son Justin came over, as well as Scott and Kelly and Gary. Melissa and Rob remodeled their 2 1/2 car garage and turned it into a sports bar area. They have a premium stocked bar, pool table, big screen tv and huge karaoke system, so there's just about something for everyone. Karaoke was fun.
Sunday morning was a record setter. Austin slept until 10 and Tyler slept until 11, when Austin had to wake him up! I couldn't believe it! The only reason I let Austin wake him up is because I've been on this crepe kick and had to go to Bob Evans for breakfast crepes. Actually, Austin may have slept past 10 too, if it weren't for Dearden calling and waking us up.
We went over to Dearden's house for dinner Sunday night. After dinner, Chris & I, Melissa, Chris and Robin and Justin and Tammy played Cranium. First time I've ever played and I LOVE IT! Highly reccomend it for a "team" game.
Keeping our fingers crossed that we don't have any hurricanes in the brewin' for this weekend--trip to St. Pete Beach with the Godparents.
