Whew. Hurricane Dennis missed us by about 250 miles west. I'm thanking the hurricane Gods for that one. Unfortunately the folks in the panhandle weren't so fortunate, especially after being ravished by Ivan just a few months ago. I know the feeling and though I wanted a hurricane, I'm over it now. The overtime pay is nice, but the damage to the house and fear the kids have just isn't worth it. Sad, this is already the fourth named storm of the year and it's only the beginning of July. We still have 4 more months to deal with this sh!t.
Well..actually 3 months and 21 days. But who's counting?

What scares me is when in the heck am I supposed to come down there and not get chased out of town by one of those darn things. I want to go to Key West soooo bad. We need to start planning our cruise which needs to have some kind of stop in Key West (or somewhere tropical).
Oh, I'm also concerned for you and your family's safety :)
