- Hurricane Victim Relocated - Tuesday, September 13, 2005 I thought this picture was cute. This hurricane victim (Douglas) looks sooo happy, even sporting his Michigan State shirt! Love it! Here's his story. Douglas arrived in Lansing on Friday night after spending four days at Fort Custer in Battle Creek. On Saturday, he went to the Michigan State University football game with donated tickets. On Sunday, he spent eight hours watching Babylon 5 on DVD. On Monday, he headed to a job--related appointment. He's already doing better than many. His family is scattered, but OK. He has an apartment in south Lansing. He has a job. Because he worked for Best Buy in New Orleans, the Best Buy in Delta Township hired him immediately. His first day is Wednesday.
